This tour takes in the highlights of South Africa's Mother City - the beautiful and vibrant Cape Town, as well as the scenic Garden Route. Table Mountain, Cape Point, Boulders Beach penguins, Route 62, Cango Caves, an Ostrich farm, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are all some of the must-see attractions included on this tour on a fully private-guided basis. A full board 2-night Big Five safari in the greater Kruger area is also a Part of this package. 

DAY 01: Cape Town 

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred you to your hotel in the city centre - your home for the next 4 nights booked on Bed and Breakfast basis. Immerse yourself in the culture and color of one of Cape Town’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Bo-Kaap. Taste your way through a flavor-filled Cape Malay gastronomic experience along two of the city’s hottest food and beverage streets, Long street and Bree, both walking distance from the 5-star hotel. If you make it in before dark, you just might catch a sunset-kissed view of Table Mountain or Signal Hill.

DAY 02: Cape Town

After breakfast, Enjoy a morning or afternoon guided tour of the Mother City - venture through the streets crowded with history. This tour includes a visit to Table Mountain (cableway tickets included).

DAY 03: Cape Town

After breakfast you will be met by your guide and embark on a full day touring of the ruggedly beautiful Cape Peninsula. See all the top sights along South Africa’s Cape Peninsula on this full-day tour from Cape Town.

DAY 04: Oudtshoorn  

After an early breakfast, travel along the famous Route 62 from the Cape Winelands en-route to Oudtshoorn. This route has previously been named "World's Best Road Trip Destination" by CNN! There are lots of interesting stops and places to discover along the way. 

On arrival in Oudtshoorn, you will visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch for a guided tour. 

Check-in at your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful and picturesque setting on a working ostrich farm.

DAY 05: Knysna

Enjoy guided tours of the fascinating Cango Caves and of Safari Ostrich Farm - an ostrich show farm. 

You will then cross over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass today and onto the Garden Route and your hotel located on the Eastern Head of Knysna, surrounded by a lush paradise of indigenous forests, mountains, lakes and pristine beaches.

DAY 07: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Transfer to George Airport for your flight to Hoedpsruit via Johannesburg.On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, where you will spend the next 2 days on safari. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive, enjoy a sundowner while the sun sets over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains. The game drive will be followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 08: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Early morning and early evening are the best time of day for game viewing. Spotting an elusive bat-eared fox retiring for the day, a dazzle of zebras starting their day or hearing the call of guineafowl as the day comes to an end means two game drives are never the same and offer different experiences at different times. What you see in the morning, afternoon or evening will be different from season to season and day to day.

There may be a lag/lead of half an hour in different seasons.

MORNING SAFARI

·  05:00 wake-up call

·  05:30 meet for tea, coffee, homemade pastries and fresh fruit

·  6:00 depart from the main entrance of the lodge where guides will escort guests to their game vehicle

·  Mid-drive stop for hot drinks, homemade rusks and biscuits at a lookout point, watering hole or designated area in the reserve. Your guide and assistant guide always know the best place to stop

·  09:00 return to the lodge after an approximate 3-hour drive for a full breakfast

SUMMER AFTERNOON SAFARI
