Itinerary
Day 01: NAIROBI – OL PEJETA
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and proceed through immigration and baggage collection. Met by a Somak
Representative and drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving at your camp in time for lunch (215 kms, approximately 4 ½ hrs). This 90,000 acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into countryside many travelers never see. We check into our tented camp where we stay for the overnight. We have lunch in camp. Afternoon game drive and return back to the camp for overnight. Overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Camp (LD)
Day 02:OL PEJETA – ABERDARES
After breakfast at the camp drive to the Aberdare Country Club arriving in time for lunch (80 kms, approximately 1 ½ hrs.
Afternoon transfer to the Ark in the lodge own vehicle. The rest of the afternoon and evening is enjoyed viewing game that comes to the water hole and salt-lick. Overnight at the Ark (LD)
Day 03ABERDARES – LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast return to the Aberdare Country Club where you meet up with your safari driver and depart for Lake Naivasha
(200 km, approximately 4 hrs), driving through the Great Rift Valley and watching out for spectacular views of the widespread escarpments. After lunch the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Optional boat rides or bird walks are available and payable
locally. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (BLD)
Day 04LAKE NAIVASHA – MASAI MARA
After an early breakfast proceed towards the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve (6pprox.. 270 km, approximately 6-hrs). The Masai Mara is Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals
are never out of sight. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well spread rainfall yearround. Arrive in time for Lunch. After
lunch enjoy an extensive game drive. Overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp (BLD)
Day 05MASAI MARA
Enjoy a Hot Air Balloon flight over the Mara Plains followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional extra cost) or head out for an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the camp. During your stay, you also have an opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals (optional extra). Enjoy lunch at the camp. Proceed for a late afternoon game drive in the reserve. Overnight at Ashnil Mara Camp (BLD)
Day 06MASAI MARA – NAIROBI – DEPART
After breakfast return to Nairobi and transfer to a local restaurant for lunch (300 kms, approximately 6 hrs). Later proceed to
the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home. (BL)
